Now there is nothing which specifies that bonsai pants are to be placed inside enclosed rooms only.
In fact, now that science of bonsai has crossed its stage of nascence, many see placing of bonsai plants and trees inside homes or in enclosed places as completely unscientific and bereft of reason. But then it would also be a mistake to generalize and say that a bonsai should be always kept out in open sunlight, subject to all vagaries of nature.
A bonsai is a special kind of plant, which is different from other ordinary plants and hence requires some special care. When one is to decide where a bonsai plant should be placed, the first major aspect that you need to take into consideration is that what type of a bonsai plant is in question in that instance. But even despite individual needs of specific types of bonsai plants, it is still possible to lay down some general guidelines that you have to adhered to as closely as possible in order to keep bonsai plants healthy. Artificial bonsai trees require an optimum amount of natural sunlight in order to grow and survive.
You should keep this requirement in mind in order to help bonsais survive. The best environment for a bonsai to survive is in a greenhouse condition where mild filtered sunlight is available to it. But it will be too much to expect that all bonsai enthusiasts will have a greenhouse of their own to keep their favorite bonsai plants in. So the next best way out of this problem is to simulate conditions present inside a greenhouse. To begin with, a bonsai plant should never be kept in direct and harsh sunlight when the plant is kept outside.
You should always keep these trees in some sort of shade where it has access to filtered sunlight which is less harsh than direct sunlight. Another critical factor is that it is not only sunlight that a bonsai needs. It needs other natural resources such as wind and rain to survive as well. So when you select a place for keeping a bonsai, make sure it has access to rain and wind as well. Also a bonsai should not be kept outside 24 by 7. It should also be kept indoors for a certain extent of time as well. For instance you can keep your bonsai inside on weekends.
But ensure that when indoors, bonsai should not be kept in direct line of an air conditioning, cooling or heating system. Follow the above mentioned guidelines, and these will ensure that your artificial bonsai tree remains in pink of health. And it will add to beauty of your home and additionally, it will become an object of pride. Display those artificial bonsai trees to others when they visit you and bask in the glory of admiration.
